Options for resynchronising Storage

I was looking for a solution to stream videos captured by my security camera. Originally I tried NextCloud but I could not configure the Web UI to run smoothly. I then discovered Pydio Cells and after taking forever to figure out making it work through my reverse proxy I am up and running.

The problem I have is the camera writes to the storage via SFTP and therefore is not indexed by Cells automatically. Due to the Scheduler not being available yet I am manually resyncing the Storage. This always takes a considerable amount of time. Is there anyway to speed this up?

After learning more about how Datasources work, it would be cool if there was an option to expose the a Datasource as an FTP server. Something like this https://cloudacademy.com/blog/s3-ftp-server/
