Ubuntu 18.04, Pydio Core 8.2.5, All front ends.

When attempting to delete a file we are now met with the message “The directory /recycle_bin is now writable. This may be a permissions problem”

This happens for all user levels.

This just started happening with no admin intervention. I’ve gone through many search results, including on this forum, but nothing I’ve tried works.

How do we enable file deletions?

Hello,

Is this happened after the upgrade to 8.2.5 ?

Hi,

Yes, I think so, or possible when it went from 7 to 8. Files don’t often get deleted from our server.

It may not be related at all but an entire directory, including sub-directories, was mysteriously deleted around this time. It had to restored from our backup service.

Hello,

What was old version of Pydio before upgrading to latest versino 8.2.5?
Do you have error message in the log of apache? (if yes, please post it)

RESOLVED

As soon as the roles issue (Can't access files or Home) was sorted out, for me at least, I was able to create a folder called recycle_bin from the web front end which was immediately recognised as the “Recycle Bin” and we can delete files again.
