Cannot remove Cells-Sync from Autostart on MacOS

Hi,

I’ve installed Cells-Sync on my MacBook Pro (latest Big Sur Update).
By default, the Application starts when my computer starts.

If i go into the application settings and toggle the autostart switch off, it automatically gets reenabled after pressing on save.

I am also not able to remove it from global system preferences since it’s not shown there.

Is this a Bug? Have you experienced the same issue?

You can try removing the service by running /Applications/CellsSync/Contents/MacOS/cells-sync service uninstall command.

Hello @anon55050935 ,

As it was said by @williamosmith , you can run the following command to uninstall the service that auto launches cells-sync.

cells-sync service uninstall

https://pydio.com/en/docs/developer-guide/cells-sync-service

Follow these steps to remove it:

Download the free edition of CleanMyMac here.
Launch the app.
Open Optimization tab.
Click on Login items.
From the list of apps, disable the ones you don’t need on startup.

Also If you are thinking to replace it then I would love to recommend replacing your Mac with the latest variant or m2 chip
https://mcsolution.com.bd/laptop/apple/macbook-pro/

Cause apple says “the new chip deliver 18% better CPU and 25% better GPU performance over the previous design”. Which have ability to gives you faster using experience.
