[API] Is it possible to use a template for a workspace?

I am fiddeling to create a workspace that uses a samba template.
On the webinterface this is possible. I am able to create a workspace by using the api but it seems not possible to add the template.

Has anyone did this ?

API v2 is not capable of that - v1 is … but it seems to be partial broken.
