Forgive me if this isn’t available, but there seems to be references to it… how do you allow users to create public download links that are direct downloads instead of the file previewer or web interface to download. Essentially, looking to see if this product will work as a file repository that can directly download files for applications/web.

This feature is not available: all file transfers must go through the API so that we can apply ACL (even if public).
A workaround that I have been using for similar use case is to create a “local FS” datasource that points towards a folder that is exposed via another webserver (it is for instance quite easy to make this with Caddy server or Apache).
